10,000 PRAYER ALTARS

Corporate Prayer in the Ozarks

Beginnings 2008

House of Prayer Everywhere

In 2008 Holy Spirit began to initiate a change in the atmosphere in the Ozarks Region.  Chuck and Terry Davis who we recognize as Apostles of Prayer, began to lead prayer meetings in various churches, businesses and homes, anywhere people  hungry to pray could gather.  For  12 years they continued nurturing prayer meetings in the Branson and Springfield areas.  Growth was slow at the beginning as they encouraged people from all walks of life to commit to corporate prayer.  Chuck especially encouraged men to attend the prayer gatherings and become leaders in prayer.

Regional Growth 2020

Regional Prayer Gathering

January 1, 2020, Chuck and Terri Joined Pastor Tim Snider and approximately 20  other praying people in the first Regional Prayer Meeting held at Healing River Worship Center on Wednesday morning at 6:00 am.  A short time later, the leadership called for a 2-week prayer push;  Prayer was held daily from 6 am to 6 pm  for 14 days and people came from all over the region to pray.  This stimulated a growing hunger for corporate prayer in the region and has yielded an increased number of prayer meetings held in homes, businesses and churches  over the past 5 years.  Today, prayer meetings in the Ozarks Region are held every morning and several evenings each week, as praying people come together to worship, pray and ask God to awaken this region.

Legislative Prayer Begins 2023

Prayer Senates

Early in the summer of 2023, Holy Spirit instructed us to begin hosting what we call "Prayer Senates" where  prayers from the region gather together to "legislate" and pray God's plan into the Ozarks Region.  We conduct two senate events per year, one in the March and one in September.  As of the last  gathering in September of 2025, approximately 145 prayer leaders met to seek the Lord, establish prayer directives and legislate as God's Ekklesia in this region.  Every Prayer Senate held since the first one in September of 2023 has been marked by a profound unity and the Glory of the Lord as He has directed us in prayer and the declaration of His Will in the earth.

2024 Prayer Center of the Ozarks

'In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.' Ephesians 2:21

Continued growth requires support and structure so in 2024, a handful of area ministry leaders joined together to become Prayer Center of the Ozarks .  The Prayer Center exists to promote and facilitate planting new prayer groups, host Prayer Senates so praying people from the region can gather for fellowship and  encouragement, and as led by Holy Spirit, take on projects that support Chuck and Terri Davis' vision of House of Prayer Everywhere.  This vision encompasses preparing an "habitation" for Holy Spirit and bringing prayer back to the Body of Christ as the central focus, instead of a novel idea practiced by a few.

Prayer Altar Mandate 2025

Prayer Odyssey

In the Spring of 2025, Rusty Owens, Pastor of the Glory Barn in Branson MO and part of the Leadership Team for Prayer Center of the Ozarks, shared a vision from the Lord regarding taking a prayer journey around the Ozark's Region with the rest of the Leadership Team .  The vision called for "boots on the ground" in the region for which we we pray regularly, and in obedience we began planning to carry it out.  Preparations were made and on July 7, 2025, eight members of the Leadership Team loaded up on a van and spent 5 days traveling over 1600 miles, stopping in two cities per day for prayer meetings hosted by various groups and churches along the way.  Those on the Leadership Team unable to travel, anchored the group in daily prayer.

Purpose Revealed

During the trip,  some group members asked Holy Spirit for  light on the purpose for the prayer trek and what the Father desired to accomplish as a result of it. The answer came on the third night of the trip, as the team worshipped with other intercessors in St. Peter's Missouri.  As they experienced a strong outpouring of  His glory and presence, the Lord declared His desire to establish the central region of the United States as the prayer altar of the nation.  We believe this declaration reflects God's intent to develop a region in this nation where the sacrifice of prayer never ceases and the fire of God never goes out.

10,000 Prayer Meetings 2025

Our Mandate

Upon arriving back in the Branson/Springfield area after the July 2025 trip, Holy Spirit gave further instruction to enlarge the circle of this territory as He desires 10,000 prayer meetings to be established in the central region of the United States.  The new assigned area stretches from Des Moines, Iowa to below Shreveport Louisiana and from Woodward Oklahoma to Nashville Tennessee.

Our desire is to connect with prayer groups that are already established and churches committed to the mission of prayer.  We also want to help to start and nurture new prayer meetings wherever we find people who are hungry for the abiding habitation of God.  To connect with us, you can send an email to:
